I’m sure by now everyone has heard about the US Government #Shutdown and have been affected directly or indirectly. As a military spouse the #shutdown has affected my household directly…positively and negatively. After a long conversation with my husband about the changes and uncertainties we will face we realized we are still blessed. God continues to make a way for us.

Whether you work for the government or not we all are in this together.  On a positive note, I was happy to see some retailers are offering those affected by the #shutdown discounts to alleviate some of the financial stress. (Check with your local retailers and ask what they maybe offering). We can all do our part…a simple thank you or words of encouragement may not seem like alot but they have such a HUGE positive impact.

Me and my family will continue to pray for all those affected by the #shutdown.

Please feel free to leave any comments in the area below. Let’s continue to support one another.

UPDATE 10/17/13: As of today the government #shutdown is over! Praying that it is not a temporary fix but that they come together and find  a solution to resolve the situation for all involved.
